Application for assistance to attend International Health and Tropical Medicine – The Annual Meeting of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene

The Society has made a limited number of scholarships available to help with the cost of attending this meeting. Candidates for assistance must live and work in a developing country. Only those currently active in the field of tropical medicine or international health will be considered for support. Applications will only be accepted from delegates attending the conference who have had an abstract accepted for presentation. Further information will be available shortly.



REGISTRATION FEES

The following registration fees apply:

Early rate (on or before 24th July 2008)

Concessionary * £100.00
Retired fellows £50.00

Standard rate (on or after 25th July 2008)

Fellows £290.00
Concessionary * £120.00
Retired fellows £70.00
Non members £375.00

*Concessionary rates will apply to students and delegates from developing countries. Claims will be assessed on an individual basis and any final decision regarding eligibility will be made at the discretion of the organisers.

Registration forms from delegates claiming a concessionary rate must be accompanied by a letter from the Head of Department or Supervisor, clearly stating the delegate’s current position. A student day rate is not available.

The registration fee includes access to all scientific sessions, all meeting materials, entry to the exhibition, morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea on both days of the Conference, invitation to the Welcome Reception and VAT.

METHOD OF PAYMENT
To register to attend the meeting please fully complete the registration form and return to the Secretariat together with the requisite fee. Payment can be made by cheque, payable to ‘Hampton Medical Conferences Ltd.’, credit card (Visa, MasterCard or American Express) or debit card (Maestro or Visa Delta). Please note that credit card payments incur an additional charge of 2.95%.

Places at the meeting cannot be reserved in the absence of a registration form and payment. Payments cannot be taken over the telephone as written authorisation is required.

CONFIRMATION
Upon receipt of registration forms, the Secretariat will send written confirmation that a place has been allocated at the conference, together with a receipt of payment. Further details, including maps, will be posted on the conference website in due course.

CANCELLATIONS
In the event of delegate cancellation, the registration fee will be refunded with a £40.00 deduction, provided that written notice is received before 18th August 2008. No refunds will be given after this date, although named substitutions will be allowed. All refund payments will be made after the conference has taken place.
